The American Hospice Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, relies on contributions from individuals and corporations to pursue its mission of increasing access to hospice care.  You can help us provide support for dying and grieving people in several ways:

Make a Gift Today. Your support will make an immediate difference in our efforts to increase access to hospice care and can be a meaningful way to honor a special friend or family member who has died.  Donate securely online by credit card or donate by mail with a check or credit card. The Foundation will acknowledge your donation with a letter to those you name.

Donate a Vehicle - Put your used vehicle to good work. The American Hospice Foundation partners with Car Program Inc. to provide an easy option for donating cars, boats, or RVs. Car Program Inc. explains the tax deduction process as follows: “The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of (a) the value of your vehicle up to $500 or (b) if the vehicle sells for more than $500, Car Program Inc. will mail you a completed IRS tax form 1098-C with that value for your tax purposes.”  For more information please visit the IRS’s, “A Donor’s Guide to Car Donations” or call Car Program, Inc. at 1-800-240-0160. 

Send an e-card - Remember a special occasion with e-cards that share sentiments and announce your gift to the Foundation.  Choose from bereavement, birthday, holiday, anniversary, and wedding themes. 

Sign up for payroll deductions - Federal employees can designate the American Hospice Foundation by selecting #10362 in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC).  Other employees have the opportunity to support the Foundation through the America’s Charities campaign.  The Foundation is known as Hospice America in the CFC and in state and corporate workplace campaigns.

Other Ways to Give

Donate securities - A transfer of securities – particularly those with appreciated value – helps the Foundation while offering the potential of tax savings for the donor.  Call the Foundation at 1-800-347-1413 to arrange such a gift.
Estate Planning - Consider a bequest in your estate planning.  Ensure that the Foundation’s work continues into the future by designating a gift to the Foundation in your will. Please contact us with questions online or by calling 1-800-347-1413.
